Legend - Master of Your Own Destiny

Grade School, College, Get a Good Job, and Retire from Social Security.  Sounds Familiar?  Is this the Normal Path for an Ideal Life.  Where did this life path came from?  Why is everyone following this path?  Was it instilled from our Great Grand Parents to our parents and passed on from one generation to another.  Now a days, most people work 3 to 4 jobs before retiring and our parents and grandparents was probably stuck with 1 job before retiring.  The world is changing at a faster pace and lifestyles are changing.  People want to explore, do other things, and travel the world more.  So the life path that our parents took cannot apply to this generation that we are living now.

Can we alter this life path?  It's hard when we see friends follow this same life path and it seems to be the obvious and normal thing to do - Finish Grade School, Go to College and get a degree, Have a Career with a company and Retire from Savings and Social Security.  It's hard to change when everyone thinks the same.  But if you are able to explore and be open to opportunities, life will lead you to a better path when you have dreams and goals to pursue.
